From 1 July 2026 the IFoA charges £302 for CB1 or CB2, £375 for each CM or CS subject and £786 for CP1, or £197, £244 and £511 at the reduced rate.

How much is the IFoA CB1 exam fee?
£302 at the full rate and £197 at the reduced rate, for sittings after 1 July 2026. CB2 costs the same.
How much is an IFoA exemption?
£248 a subject for CB1, CB2, CB3 and the CM and CS subjects at the full rate, or £161 at the reduced rate. CP1 costs £635, CP2 £478 and CP3 £350.
Who pays the IFoA reduced rate?
Members who paid the reduced membership subscription, which is for incomes under £9,400 a year. The reduced exam fees then apply automatically.

Method
- Each exam you sit is charged once for each sitting, at the IFoA's fee for that subject and rate.
- An exemption is charged at the IFoA's exemption fee for that subject, in place of sitting it.
- Non-members sitting CM1 or CS1 pay the IFoA's non-member fee for those two subjects.
