What the report says
Interview selection is a ranking
Oxford describes applicants being ranked on contextualised GCSEs and the two LNAT scores. It does not call any LNAT result a pass mark.
LNAT is part of the picture
Where a GCSE score exists, the report gives 80% to contextualised GCSEs, 10% to the LNAT multiple-choice score and 10% to the LNAT essay score.
Context changes the comparison
“Contextualised” means Oxford adjusts the GCSE measure for the school and background context described in its report. A raw score comparison misses that part of the process.
What to do with this
