Which answer matches the passage?

Choose C. It reports only the measured trial result. The other choices predict, broaden or add claims.

APredictsIt turns one trial result into a permanent claim about all road users. The passage does not support either step.
BBroadensThe borough measured increases on two nearby roads, not every nearby street.
CMatchesIt keeps the trial period, the measured road and the reported average result unchanged.
DAddsThe borough did not survey local businesses, so the passage gives no evidence of opposition.

How do you eliminate answers in LNAT questions?

Read the question closely, find the relevant passage text and reject each choice that changes its meaning. Margin uses add, reverse, broaden and overstate as checks for this exercise, not an official sequence.

The official preparation guide says to check that your selected answer directly answers the question.

Why can an answer look right but still be wrong?

A choice can repeat words from the passage while changing their scope or certainty. It must answer the exact question and match what the passage supports.

The official hints call some options “wrong but almost right” and tell candidates to find and eliminate them.

LNAT hints and tips

Is answer elimination an official LNAT question type?

No. The official hints recommend finding and eliminating options that are wrong but almost right. They do not name answer elimination as a standalone question category.

The current format page describes 42 multiple-choice questions based on 12 argumentative passages. It does not publish a current answer-option count.
