Who must take LNAT for SOAS Law?
Applicants to single or joint Law programmes must take LNAT when applying with Access to HE, BTEC, WJEC Applied Criminology, Foundation Year or other non-standard qualifications.
Can a promising LNAT result affect an offer?
For standard-qualification applicants who choose to take LNAT, SOAS says it will consider lower offers where a candidate performs promisingly. It publishes no score threshold for this.

Does SOAS publish how it uses Section B?
The reviewed SOAS Law admissions pages do not publish how SOAS assesses the essay or weights either LNAT section.
What are the 2026/27 SOAS LNAT dates?
Applicants who need LNAT for SOAS should book before 20 January 2027 and sit the test by 25 January 2027.
Glasgow has the same 25 January deadline, and does require the test from LLB applicants without a prior degree.
