42 interactive lessons
One reasoning move each, then tested
2,134 original questions
Every wrong option names its slip
13 complete sittings
22 Critical Thinking, then 22 Problem Solving questions, 40 minutes each
Built around what TARA students say is hardest
There's barely anything to practise on.
13 complete sittings in the real format
Critical Thinking, then Problem Solving, 22 questions each on its own 40-minute clock. All original, so the free official specimens stay fresh for a final check.
See the papers →Problem Solving takes me several minutes a question.
Find the route before the arithmetic
Lessons show when a table, a sketch or a quick estimate beats working it all out. The free timing gym gives you eight questions at the real pace, no calculator.
Open the timing gym →I do papers but my score stays the same.
Name the move and the answer follows
Assumptions, flaws and conclusions, one at a time, each tested on TARA-style arguments. A wrong pick tells you exactly which reasoning slip it was.
Open the course →I can't tell how good my essay is.
Plan, write and check the Writing Task
Pick one of three questions and write on the real 40-minute clock. Then check it against a 9-point checklist. UAT-UK does not score the Writing Task; universities read it.

Know your modules and your sitting
Module use differs by course, and most Oxford applicants must sit in October. The free planner shows what applies to you, with the official dates.

Questions TARA students ask
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Lesson 1 of each part is free with no account. Make one when you want your progress saved. Try lesson 1
Are TSA and BMAT papers useful for TARA?
Yes, as extra practice. UAT-UK links them because the reasoning sections share a history. They are not TARA papers, and their timings and score scales differ. Official TARA materials
Are these real TARA papers?
No. Every question here is original, written to the official specification and format.
What does 17 out of 22 mean?
It means 17 correct on that practice paper. There is no official way to turn a practice mark into a 1.0 to 9.0 score. The free interpreter explains what official scores mean. Open the score interpreter
Can I sit in January for Oxford?
Most Oxford applicants must sit in October. Some courses, including the PPE Foundation Year, accept either sitting. The planner shows the rule for your course. Find your sitting
Is the Writing Task marked?
UAT-UK does not score it; universities read it. Here you write on the real clock, then check your answer against a structural checklist.
Can I use a calculator?
No. And unused time does not carry over from one module to the next, so practice here keeps each clock separate.
Will a good score guarantee an interview?
No. Universities read TARA alongside the rest of your application. We never predict offers or invent a cutoff.
How does the guarantee work?
Study on 7 days, answer 150 or more questions and sit one timed paper in your first 30 days, before your TARA. If Critical Thinking or Problem Solving scores under 7.0, email us within 30 days of your result for a full refund. Read the full terms
