How to prepare for UCAT in eight weeks
Two weeks each: learn the question types, fix repeated errors, practise under time, then rehearse the full test.
Your preparation plan
The plan
| Weeks | Work | Keep |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Official Tour and tutorials. Small sets in each subtest. | A list of errors |
| 3–4 | Fix repeated errors untimed, then short timed sets. | Why each miss happened |
| 5–6 | Mixed types against the clock. | Questions reached and time lost |
| 7–8 | Official timed practice tests, reviewed. | One next action per session |
Fit it to your week
Worked example Allocate a realistic week
A learner has four 30-minute weekday slots and one 90-minute weekend slot. Each weekday slot is 20 minutes practice and 10 review. Can the weekend slot hold a full mock?
Why this works: No. The test is just under two hours. Book a separate window for full mocks. The weekday slots protect 40 minutes of review.
Why the tempting route fails: Adding up 210 minutes across the week does not make one uninterrupted mock.
