The 2026 national boundary is 1,700, but standard interview selection depends on combined academic and UCAT scores.

Questions people ask

Does Leicester have a UCAT cut-off?

Not a fixed number. Leicester does not consider UCAT totals in the bottom two deciles. For 2027 entry that is 1,700.

What else should I know about this figure?

Standard interview ranking for predicted-grade applicants combines 50% academics and 50% UCAT. The guaranteed-interview route for applicants with achieved A-levels in their first gap year needs the top five deciles for Home applicants (1,920) or the top three for international applicants (2,050), plus its first-sit, timing and SJT conditions.

What it does

Enter your UCAT score to compare it with 1,700.

Leicester Medicine, 2027 entry.

Method

  1. We start from the school's own published figure for its main medicine course, with its entry year and applicant group: an interview cut-off or threshold, the lowest or average score interviewed, or a 2027 minimum.
  2. An estimate moves a cut-off set on the 2025 UCAT to 2026 scores by national rank: we find the percentile it sat at in 2025's final deciles, then read the score at the same percentile in UCAT's final 2026 deciles. Above the published 90th percentile, that extends the national curve past its last published point. The same national rank does not mean the same rank among a school's applicants, and none of these figures is a 2027 cut-off.
  3. Published 2027 minimums are used as printed, with their SJT, section and academic conditions.
