When did the final 2026 UCAT deciles come out?

UCAT published the final 2026 statistics after testing ended on 24 September 2026. They cover 42,359 tests, with a mean of 1,918 out of 2,700.

How close was the prediction?

Within 6 points of every decile. We forecast a final mean of 1,918 and it was 1,918. We forecast the median boundary at 1,914 and the 90th percentile at 2,245; the final table gave 1,920 and 2,250. The average miss across the nine deciles was 5 points.

Did the UCAT deciles go down?

Yes. Every boundary fell between the early and final tables, by 40 to 60 points, as in 2025. The median moved from 1,980 to 1,920 and the 90th percentile from 2,300 to 2,250.

What percentile is 2100 in 2026?

In the final 2026 table, 2100 is about the 76th percentile, between the 70th (2,050) and 80th (2,140) boundaries. In the early table it looked like the 69th. In 2025, 2100 was exactly the 80th percentile boundary.

Does my percentile matter more than my score?

Schools see your score. Many compare it only with their own applicants, but a percentile tells you how common your score was, which helps you judge how competitive a published cut-off is.

How we work this out

What it does

Where your 2026 UCAT score sits in the final table of 42,359 tests, and how close our early prediction came.

UK UCAT totals out of 2700 from the 2026 test (for 2027 entry). The answer reads UCAT's final deciles from 42,359 tests to 24 September 2026. The early table (20,794 tests to 13 September) and our forecast from it are shown beside it.

Method

  1. Your percentile: straight lines between UCAT's nine published final decile boundaries. Outside the 10th and 90th percentiles we extend a normal curve and say so.
  2. In 2025 each decile boundary fell 40 to 60 points between the preliminary table (21,882 tests to 14 September, mean 1939) and the final one (41,354 tests, mean 1891), because later candidates scored lower on average.
  3. UCAT expected about 22,000 more tests after its 2026 snapshot. That is a slightly larger share still to come than in 2025, so we scale each 2025 fall by 1.09 and subtract it from the 2026 preliminary boundary. That gives a final 2026 mean near 1918, a median boundary near 1910 and a 90th percentile near 2250.
  4. The range runs from no fall at all to twice the 2025 fall. Your final percentile is read off the estimated table the same way as today's.
