How it compares with the real exam
The real exam is two papers: Paper A in 3 hours 20 minutes, typed in Word, and Paper B in 1 hour 50 minutes, in Excel. These are short questions on the same skills, so you can find your weakest area in 36 minutes.
CM1 is an examination of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. This is an independent course, not affiliated with or endorsed by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and every question in it is original.
