About 18 minutes for 10 marks
Three hours for 100 marks is 1.8 minutes a mark, so Section I is worth about 18 minutes. Spend them, then move on: Section II holds the other 90 marks.
Work it out before you read the options
- Solve the question first, then find your answer among the options: the wrong options are the answers common slips give.
- Check the principal argument is in the interval from minus pi (not included) to pi.
- For a statement about proof, test the converse and the contrapositive separately: only the contrapositive is equivalent.
