Questions parents ask

Is this the real ISEB test?

No. It is independent practice with our own questions. ISEB's free walkthrough shows the real test screens. Open the walkthrough

Can my child skip a question or go back?

Not in the real test. Every question needs an answer before the next one, so our practice test works the same way.

Does one early mistake ruin the result?

No. ISEB says early mistakes do not stop a high score. Careful answers matter more than speed.

Will we see a score?

Schools receive age-standardised results; families do not see them through ISEB. Our practice test shows right answers by skill, and the lesson for each gap.

Which year is it for?

Most children sit it in Year 6, some in Year 7, for Year 7 or Year 9 entry. The maths covers work up to the end of Year 5.
