The 20 syllabus units
- Mechanics: units and measurements; kinematics; laws of motion; work, energy and power; rotational motion; gravitation.
- Matter, heat and waves: properties of solids and liquids; thermodynamics; kinetic theory of gases; oscillations and waves.
- Electricity and magnetism: electrostatics; current electricity; magnetic effects of current and magnetism; electromagnetic induction and alternating currents; electromagnetic waves.
What the 2027 syllabus leaves out
Read unit by unit, the 2027 physics syllabus does not list radioactive decay or half-life, the Doppler effect, transistors or communication systems. Electronic devices covers semiconductor diodes, the LED, the photodiode, the solar cell, the Zener diode and five logic gates. This course teaches exactly the listed units.
How this course maps the units
The course groups the 20 units into ten sections, each with two lessons, Section A practice, Section B practice and its share of the two timed papers. Set the planner above with the weeks you have left and how sure you are of each section, and it splits your hours.

Questions people ask
How many physics questions are there in JEE Main Paper 1?
25: 20 multiple-choice questions in Section A and 5 numerical-value questions in Section B, for 100 marks.
Are the Section B questions optional?
The 2027 Information Bulletin lists 20 Section A and 5 Section B questions for physics and does not say that any are optional.
Is radioactivity in the 2027 physics syllabus?
The 2027 unit on atoms and nuclei lists the composition and size of the nucleus, mass defect, binding energy, fission and fusion. It does not list radioactive decay or half-life.
