Is rescheduling the same as retaking the LNAT?

What happens if you sit it twice?

The Consortium's FAQ states the rule as a window: one sitting between 1 September and 31 July. For 2027 entry that window runs from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027, so a September test and a January test are the same cycle, not two chances.

If you are reapplying A new admissions cycle means you sit the LNAT again. The FAQ is explicit that results are not carried over from one year to the next.

Can you move the appointment?

Yes, and this is the part people confuse with retaking. An appointment you have not taken moves at no extra charge.

LNAT publishes two cutoffs for that, and they do not agree. Its FAQs say 12 noon UK time two working days before; its booking page says 48 hours before the start time. Treat the earlier of the two as your deadline. Miss the window and miss the test, and you pay for a new booking yourself.

When do you see the score?

Mid February, if you sit on or before 26 January. Your universities have had it for months by then: scores are released to universities to download from 21 October for tests taken between 1 September and 20 October, and after that within 24 hours of you finishing. The LNAT results page puts it plainly: they will see your score before you do.

Sit after 26 January and your result arrives in mid August. Almost nobody does. The last sitting date for a normal 2027-entry application is 25 January 2027.
