Network+

The Network+ passing score

You need 720 on a scale of 100 to 900. It is a scaled score, not a percentage of questions right, and CompTIA does not publish how raw answers convert to it.

ExamN10-009 (V9)
QuestionsA maximum of 90, multiple choice and performance-based
Time90 minutes
Passing score720 on a scale of 100 to 900

Why 720 is not 80%

A scaled score puts every version of the exam on the same 100 to 900 range. Because CompTIA does not publish the conversion, 720 cannot be turned into a number of questions. Any calculator that claims to do so is guessing.

How to judge your readiness

  • Take full timed practice exams: 90 questions in 90 minutes, across all five domains by their weights.
  • Look at your weakest domain, not only the total. Troubleshooting (24%) and networking concepts (23%) carry the most marks.
  • Answer every question. A blank cannot score.
