How much does the CAPM exam cost?
PMI sets the fee by PMI membership status and region, and its public pages print no amount. You pay once PMI accepts your application, and the fee you are quoted is the one to plan with.
Is the CAPM exam cheaper for PMI members?
PMI charges members its member rate, but only if the membership is confirmed before you pay for the exam. PMI does not refund the difference if you join afterward.
How much does a CAPM retake cost?
Within your one-year eligibility period you can take the exam up to 3 times, and PMI discounts a retake under its regional and membership pricing.
What happens after three failed attempts?
You must wait one year from your last exam before you can reapply for the certification. You can apply for other PMI certifications during that year.
Can I reschedule the CAPM exam?
Yes. Changes within 30 days of your appointment cost US$70 plus taxes, and within 48 hours you can no longer reschedule or cancel; missing the exam forfeits the fee.
