Constructed-response questions
Parts II to IV are credited for the work you show: the steps, substitutions, graphs or tables that lead to the answer, and an explanation when the question asks for one.
| Part II | 8 questions, 2 credits each |
|---|---|
| Part III | 3 questions, 4 credits each |
| Part IV | 1 question, 6 credits |
Show the work
Write the equation or formula you use, the substitution, and the answer with its units and the rounding the question asks for. A correct answer with no work shown may not earn full credit.
Explain and justify
Some questions ask you to explain or justify in words: why a solution is extraneous, what a parameter means in context, or whether a study supports a conclusion. Name the reason and tie it to the numbers in the question.
Practice here
Our constructed-response questions break each task into the steps a student shows. Type an answer for each step and it is checked; write an explanation and Mia reads it against its points.
