What happens if I fail one FLK?
Your pass in the other FLK carries forward, so you resit only the one you failed. A single FLK costs £1,003; both cost £2,006. At a first sitting you book and pay for both FLKs together, unless you have an exemption.

Questions candidates ask
How many times can I sit each FLK?
3 attempts at each FLK within 6 years. The window starts on the first day of your first attempt at any SQE assessment.
What if I fail the same FLK three times?
After three fails at the same FLK you must wait until your six-year window ends, and passes do not carry over when you start again.
Can I resit a passed FLK to get a higher score?
You cannot resit an FLK you have passed to raise the mark.
When can I book the resit?
You can only book a resit once you have the result of your last attempt at that FLK. January 2027 booking closes on 23 November 2026. July 2027 booking dates are not published yet.
