Section A, then Section B
At 1.5 minutes a mark, Section A is worth about 30 minutes and Section B about 90. Work a multiple-choice question out before you read the options: the wrong options are the answers common slips give.
Multi-stage questions
- Later parts often use an earlier answer: say which value you used, and use the unrounded one unless told otherwise.
- Give decimals to the accuracy the part asks for, and probabilities to four decimal places when asked.
- Read the context for the units, the domain and whether a test is one-tailed or two-tailed.
