How many UCAS points is an A* at A level?
56. An A is 48, B 40, C 32, D 24 and E 16 (UCAS 2027 tables).
How many UCAS points is AAB?
48 + 48 + 40 = 136.
Does the EPQ give UCAS points?
Yes: an A* in the Extended Project is 28 points, A 24, B 20, C 16, D 12 and E 8.
Do AS levels count if I also take the A level?
UCAS says a university may not count an AS level if you have an A level in the same subject. The calculator marks those and shows the total without them.
How many UCAS points is a BTEC Extended Diploma?
From 48 for PPP to 168 for D*D*D*. DDD is 144.

UCAS Tariff points for A levels, AS levels, the Extended Project, Core Maths, Pearson BTEC Nationals (2016 specification), T Levels, Scottish Highers and Advanced Highers, and grade 8 music performance, from UCAS's 2027-cycle Tariff tables.
Method
- Each grade's points are copied by script from UCAS's own 2027 Tariff tables.
- The total adds every qualification you enter.
- We also show your best three A levels (or Scottish Highers), because UCAS says some universities count only the highest-scoring three.
- An AS level in a subject you also hold at A level is marked, because UCAS says a university may not count it.
