How to use a practice exam

  • Sit it in one go on the two-hour clock: 1.2 minutes a mark, so about 2 minutes for a 2-mark question.
  • Leave about 36 minutes for the 5 Section B questions, about 7 minutes each.
  • Afterwards, open every question you dropped marks on, read the explanation and its source, then practise that topic.

How it is marked

On this practice exam, a Section A question earns its marks only when the whole answer is right, so a multiple response question needs every right option ticked. Each part of a Section B question earns the marks shown beside it.
