What makes it demanding
Breadth: nine syllabus areas and 154 study guide outcomes, from the Conceptual Framework to consolidated statements.
Precision: most questions need an exact figure or the right entry, so one slip in a working loses the marks.
The clock: 100 marks in 120 minutes is 1.2 minutes a mark, or about 2.4 minutes for a 2-mark question.
Section B: a consolidation and an accounts preparation question of 15 marks each test several steps on one scenario.
What makes it manageable
The 50% pass mark leaves room for mistakes, and the techniques repeat: double entry, adjustments, and the same few consolidation workings. Once those are automatic, most questions become routine.
Where to start
The free diagnostic gives you 15 questions across the syllabus in 36 minutes, then shows the topic to fix first and a short lesson on it.
