Level I costs $1,140 if you register by the early deadline and $1,490 after it, with no enrollment fee since the February 2026 exams. The next early deadline is January 20, 2027, for the August 2027 exams.

Is there still a CFA Program enrollment fee?
No. CFA Institute removed the one-time 350 USD enrollment fee for exams seated from February 2026; its calendar lists the enrollment fee as 0 for every window to November 2027.
What does it cost to retake Level I?
A retake is a new registration at the fee for that window: 1,140 USD early or 1,490 USD standard. There is no separate retake fee.
How much does the CFA exam cost in India?
The same as everywhere: fees are set and paid in US dollars, 1,140 USD early or 1,490 USD standard for Level I. Any local tax CFA Institute collects is added at payment.
What does rescheduling cost?
250 USD to move your appointment within your exam window. A missed appointment that is not rescheduled forfeits the exam fee.
How much do all three levels cost?
3,520 to 4,570 USD in exam fees, depending on early or standard registration. Level III costs 1,240 USD early or 1,590 USD standard.
How much is the Access scholarship?
It reduces the Level I registration fee to 400 USD. Applications for the August 2027 exam run November 3 to 23, 2026.
