Questions people ask
When can I register for the February 2027 Level I exam?
Registration opened May 5, 2026 and closes November 5, 2026. The early fee ended July 7, 2026, and the last day to book your seat is November 10, 2026.
When do Level I results come out?
CFA Institute emails results within 5 to 9 weeks after the exam window closes; its Level I page says results typically arrive 5 to 7 weeks after the exam date.
How often can I take Level I?
At most twice in a calendar year, and never in consecutive windows or in windows within six months of each other.
Which curriculum does my window use?
November 2026 uses the 2026 curriculum. February 2027 and every later 2027 window use the 2027 curriculum.
What happens if I miss my exam from February 2027?
Paid deferrals end with the February 2027 exams: a candidate who does not sit registers again at the rate then available. Moving your appointment inside the window is separate and costs 250 USD.
