What the papers look like

The arithmetic paper is calculations with no context; the reasoning papers mix problems, diagrams and data. The reading paper has a booklet of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Most grammar questions need a tick, a circle or a short answer, and the 20 spellings are read aloud in sentences.

Questions people ask

How many papers are there?

Six: maths Papers 1, 2 and 3, reading, and grammar, punctuation and spelling Papers 1 and 2.

Is the spelling test read aloud?

Yes. In school a test administrator reads 20 words in sentences. Our spelling practice is written: choosing, correcting and building words with prefixes and suffixes.
