Which dental schools use MMIs?

11 of the 18 UK dental schools here describe a multiple mini interview: Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff University, Dundee, East Anglia, Lancashire, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Plymouth, Queen's University Belfast.

Which dental schools use panel interviews?

5 use a panel: King's College London, Newcastle University, Portsmouth, Queen Mary University of London, Sheffield. Bristol describes a formal online interview.

When are dental school interviews?

From November to April, depending on the school. Most schools interview in January, February or March. Lancashire interviews on 14 and 15 December 2026 and Sheffield on 22 to 26 February 2027.

Are dental interviews online?

8 of the 18 schools interview some or all applicants online. Several interview UK applicants in person and others online. Your invitation gives your own arrangements.

What do dental interviews ask?

Why dentistry, what you learned from work experience, teamwork, communication with patients, ethics and NHS dentistry. MMIs often include a role play.
