What Cisco does publish
Grading is pass or fail, and results are online within 48 hours.
Your score report includes a breakdown of how you did in each exam section.
Passing scores are set by statistical analysis and are subject to change.
Why a quoted number is a guess
Because Cisco does not publish a passing score or the number of questions, any percentage you see quoted is not Cisco's figure. Judge readiness by how you score across all six areas, not by one number.
How to judge your readiness
Take full timed practice exams: 100 questions in 120 minutes, spread across the six areas by their weights.
Fix the heaviest weak area first. IP Connectivity carries 25%, and Network Fundamentals and Network Access 20% each.
Answer every question and keep to about 72 seconds each.
