School licence terms
Last updated 5 October 2026
Who you are buying from
UniGenius is operated by Lightcube. These terms apply with our general Terms; where they differ for a school licence, these terms apply.
What a licence is
A licence is a fixed number of seats for 12 months from the day you pay. Each seat is one student and opens every course in the licence's family (GCSE, A-level or admissions tests) for as long as the licence runs.
You may move a seat: removing a student from your dashboard frees their seat and ends their access to the licensed courses. Seats are for students at your school or college.
Paying
You pay the price shown, by card, once. Prices include VAT. Stripe sends a paid invoice to the email you give. There are no quotes, custom terms or bank transfers.
The 30-day refund
For 30 days after you pay, you can refund the whole licence from your dashboard for any reason. The money goes back the way you paid, usually within 5 to 10 working days, and every student's access ends at once. After 30 days the licence is not refundable, except where the law says otherwise.
Your dashboard link
Your dashboard opens from a private link we email to you. Anyone with the link can see the roster and manage the licence, so share it only with colleagues who should.
Student accounts and data
Each student signs up with their own account and agrees to our Terms and Privacy policy. Your dashboard shows the name each student gives, their email and their work on the licensed courses. We use this only to run their courses and your dashboard. Students keep their accounts and their work when a licence ends.
When a licence ends
Access through the licence ends after 12 months, on a refund, or if the payment is disputed. Your dashboard stays available so you can export the record.
