BACB fees are nonrefundable. Veterans who qualify for the GI Bill can be reimbursed for exam fees by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

How much does the RBT exam cost?
$110 for one attempt: the $65 certification application processing fee paid to the BACB and $45 for the exam appointment paid to Pearson VUE. Pearson VUE may add local sales tax.
How much does it cost to retake the RBT exam?
$45 for each new Pearson VUE appointment. The BACB does not currently charge a fee for the retake application.
How long do you have to wait to retake the RBT exam?
7 days from your previous attempt. The retake application opens in your BACB portal within 48 hours of a failed attempt.
How many times can you take the RBT exam?
Up to 8 attempts within the 12 months after your application is approved. After that you wait for the 12 months to end and reapply.
What does it cost to reschedule the RBT exam?
Nothing 31 or more days before. $27 from 30 to 5 days before, and $32 from 5 days to 48 hours before. Within 48 hours you cannot reschedule and the fee is not refunded.
