Free EMT practice test
15 questions from all five domains of the EMT exam in 15 minutes. Then your score by domain, a short lesson on the one to fix first and a study plan.
- Weighted like the real exam: most questions on primary assessment, then treatment and transport.
- The real exam's pace: about a minute a question, as when the adaptive exam runs to its full 120.
- The real exam adapts to each answer; this short check does not, so your result is a practice estimate.
- Four choices each. No account, no email. Answer or skip; the test moves forward only.
The real exam
| Domain | Share of the exam |
|---|---|
| Scene Size-up and Safety | 15-19% |
| Primary Assessment | 39-43% |
| Secondary Assessment | 5-9% |
| Patient Treatment and Transport | 20-24% |
| Operations | 10-14% |
A computer adaptive exam of 70 to 120 items in 2 hours. 10 are unscored pilot items, and you cannot tell which. Pediatric care runs through every domain.
How the real exam is scored
The exam picks each item from your answers so far and stops once it is 95% confident you are above or below the passing standard. If you do not pass, you see a score from 100 to 1500, where 950 passes. This practice test does not adapt, so it gives a practice estimate: the share you got right in each domain, which is where to start.
