ESAT scores explained
Each module is scored from 1.0 to 9.0. UAT-UK's Technical Report places the typical median reference anchor at 4.5 and the upper-tail, approximately top-decile, reference anchor at 7.0.

Scores are equated separately for Mathematics 1, Mathematics 2, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There is no shared pass mark. Check the UAT-UK Test Results (opens in a new tab) for the reported scale and boundary wording.
Percentile context by module

Why raw-mark scores are estimates
UAT-UK does not publish one permanent table mapping marks out of 27 to the reported score. Paper difficulty and the equating model affect that relationship. The free converter uses the real scale anchors and labels the raw-mark step as modelled.

What is a good ESAT score?

Does ESAT have a pass mark?
No universal pass mark is published. Universities assess the score alongside the course, your other application evidence and their own selection process.
How can I estimate an ESAT score from a raw mark?
There is no official raw-mark table. Use the free converter to model an estimate from a practice mark out of 27, then compare attempts. UAT-UK equates each paper, so the estimate is not an official result or admissions prediction.
