Where NSAA papers help
NSAA S1 papers are useful for selected module practice. They are not current-spec ESAT papers. Open the current module guide before keeping a question.
Mathematics 1
NSAA S1 Part A
Nothing is marked: check questions against the Mathematics 1 guide.
Mathematics 2
NSAA S1 Part E (2016–2019 only)
The one part UAT-UK marks. Content splits between Mathematics 2 and Physics, so there is no clean match.
Physics
NSAA S1 Part B
ENGAA Part A mixes mathematics and physics, so sort by question, not by part.
Chemistry
NSAA S1 Part C
ENGAA carries no chemistry. Keep only what the current Chemistry guide lists.
Biology
NSAA S1 Part D
ENGAA carries no biology. Check each recall question against the current Biology guide.
Each ESAT module has 27 questions in 40 minutes and no calculator. Those rules come from the official ESAT format (opens in a new tab), not from an old NSAA paper.

Which ESAT modules does Cambridge Natural Sciences use?
The 2027 course list row for Cambridge Natural Sciences (UCAS code BCF0) says Mathematics 1 plus any two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics 2.
Can I use old NSAA papers for ESAT?
Yes, as practice material where a question is in the current ESAT guide. NSAA papers are legacy papers, not current ESAT papers, so check every question against the current guide.
