What it does

Enter your GMAT total for a straight answer, from GMAC's tables and top schools' own class figures.

Any GMAT Exam total from 205 to 805, compared with all test takers and with 20 leading full-time MBA programmes that print a current-scale median or average.

Method

  1. Excellent is 695 or more: above every listed school's median or average (the highest is Columbia's 690).
  2. Competitive is 645 to 685: at or above the low end of every school's printed middle 80% (the highest low end is 645, at Harvard, MIT Sloan and NYU Stern).
  3. Good is 605 to 635, better than about 7 in 10 test takers (605 is the 69th percentile).
  4. Average is 545 to 595, around the middle of test takers (565 is the 50th percentile). Below average is under 545.
  5. Your percentile is GMAC's rank for your exact total. The old-scale figure is the middle of GMAC's August 2026 concordance range.
