On the day

  • The exam begins the moment you look at the first question, and it ends when the time runs out.
  • A silent, hand-held, nonprinting calculator without an alphabetic keypad is allowed. Financial calculators are not.
  • No notes, books or scratch paper of your own: the test center gives you materials for notes and calculations.
  • The clock keeps running during a break.
  • You leave the test center with your score.

Answer every question

Scores are based on the number of questions answered correctly, and there is no penalty for a wrong answer. You cannot tell the pretest questions from the scored ones, so treat each as if it counts.
