Chart questions change on 26 October 2026

From 26 October 2026 the test includes image-based questions built from current sectional charts that are not in the printed testing supplement, so you must read a chart you have not seen before. The questions ask which airspace a point is in, whether ATC authorization is needed, an obstacle's height and an airport's traffic frequency.

What the test center gives you

PSI supplies the testing supplement, scratch paper and something to write with, and its testing software has a basic four-function calculator. Bring a current government-issued photo ID. You need an FAA Tracking Number from an IACRA profile before you book.
