What a pass rate does and does not tell you
A pass rate describes everyone who took the exam for the first time that year. It says nothing about any one person. What you can measure is your own readiness: your share right in each content area on timed practice at your level.
If you do not pass
- You must wait at least 90 days before retaking.
- If you were within 10 points of passing and your jurisdiction allows it, you may request a waiver of the wait.
- Your score report shows how many questions you got right in each content area, which tells you where to focus.
- Some boards limit how many times you can retake the exam.
