A law firm let 30 of its 120 first-year trainees choose to run their draft contracts through an AI review tool before a partner checked them. Over six months, partners sent back 12% of the contracts the tool had reviewed for corrections, against 21% of the other trainees' contracts.

The firm did not change how partners checked contracts during the pilot.
