AAT Level 2

How much AAT Level 2 costs

AAT lists a standard qualification fee of £460 for the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. Training provider fees for tuition are separate: AAT puts them at £600 to £2,000.

Standard qualification fee£460
Registration with AAT£187, one-off
AssessmentsThree at £67 each and one at £72
Training provider fees£600 to £2,000

What the £460 covers

A one-off registration fee of £187, paid directly to AAT, which gives access to the qualification for its lifetime (typically four to five years), the study support resources, and the right to sit the assessments. Then four assessments: three at £67 each and one at £72, paid to the training provider or assessment venue.

Other costs

Training providers and assessment venues may add an administrative fee for each assessment, and these vary from one organisation to another. You need a training provider even for distance learning.

Help with the cost

AAT says you may be eligible for support from your employer or other bodies, and its AAT Bursary scheme supports financially disadvantaged people.
