Questions people ask

What percentile is a 645 on the GMAT?

In GMAC's current table, a total of 645 is the 86th percentile.

What is a 705 on the GMAT in the old format?

GMAC's August 2026 concordance lines a current 705 up with 750 on the 10th Edition scale.

Why do GMAT totals end in 5?

The current GMAT Exam reports totals from 205 to 805 in steps of 10, so they always end in 5. That keeps them from being confused with scores on the old 200 to 800 scale.

How we work this out

What it does

See GMAC's percentile for any GMAT total or section score, and the 10th Edition score it matches.

Every GMAT Exam total score from 205 to 805 and every Quantitative, Verbal and Data Insights score from 60 to 90, from GMAC's own percentile tables (Data Period: 2021-2026).

Method

  1. Your score is looked up in GMAC's table for that score. Nothing is interpolated.
  2. A percentile is the share of test takers in GMAC's reference group who scored lower than or the same as you.
  3. For a total score, the tool also reads GMAC's August 2026 concordance, which lines up current totals with 10th Edition totals by percentile.
