How we work this out

What it does

Oxford's own counts by where applicants live: the UK, the EU, the rest of the world and the top countries.

Oxford's Annual Admissions Statistical Report 2026: Table 1.3 (applications, offers and students admitted by where applicants live: UK, EU and non-EU) for 2023 to 2025, and Table 1.4 (the countries with the most applications and students admitted, 2023 to 2025 total).

Method

  1. Each rate is students admitted divided by applications, both Oxford's own counts, for applicants living in that area.
  2. Outside the UK is Oxford's EU and non-EU rows added together. With the UK row they add up to Oxford's all-domicile totals in Table 1.1.
  3. Country rates use Oxford's three-year totals for the countries on both of its lists. Oxford does not print offers by country.
  4. Cambridge's figures beside them are its accepted students divided by applications, for the same group and year.
