How we work this out

What it does

Enter your score to see where it sits among students who enrolled at MIT.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, first-year admission. Scores of enrolled students who sent them.

Method

  1. The ranges are MIT's own figures for enrolled first-year students who sent scores (Common Data Set 2025-26, section C9). The middle 50% runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile.
  2. Top 25% means your score is at or above the 75th percentile. Upper half is from the median up to it. Lower half is from the 25th percentile up to the median. Bottom 25% is under the 25th percentile.
  3. We copy each number from the college's own document. We never add section scores to make a total or convert ACT to SAT.
  4. The acceptance rate is admits divided by applicants in section C1 of the Common Data Set 2025-26.
