How we work this out

What it does

Enter your Part A, Part B and free-response points for an estimated 1 to 5 in the May 2027 format.

AP Calculus BC in the May 2027 format: 29 multiple-choice questions without a calculator, 13 with one, and six free-response questions scored 0 to 9.

Method

  1. Your 42 multiple-choice answers are rescaled to 45, multiplied by 1.2 and added to your free-response points, giving a composite out of 108 as on College Board's released 2012 BC practice exam.
  2. That composite is banded on the 2012 practice exam's band edges, moved by the number of points you choose: higher for a stricter year, lower for a more lenient one.
