How much does the NASM CPT exam cost?
The exam-only option is $599, a one-time payment, for candidates who do not need NASM's study materials. NASM's study programs include the exam and are priced separately on nasm.org.
Do I have to buy a NASM course to take the exam?
No. Buying study materials is not required; the exam-only option lets you sit the exam without them.
How much does a NASM retest cost?
NASM does not list the retest fee on its site. Retests are bought from NASM Member Services, and a retest is included with the CPT Premium Self-Study and All-Inclusive programs.
How long do you have to wait to retake the NASM exam?
One week after a first failed attempt, 30 days after a second, and one year after a third or later.
How long do I have to take the exam after buying it?
180 days from the date of purchase. Appointments with PSI must be booked at least 24 hours ahead.
