How we work this out

What it does

Pick what you are timing for its length, then run the real module clock.

The digital PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10 and PSAT 8/9 at standard time.

Method

  1. Times and question counts are College Board's: Reading and Writing is 54 questions in 64 minutes, Math is 44 questions in 70 minutes, on all three PSATs.
  2. Each section has two equal-length modules, so a module is 27 questions in 32 minutes or 22 questions in 35 minutes.
  3. The length is the time spent testing. The 10-minute break between sections is shown separately.
  4. Pace is each module's time shared evenly across its questions.
