Questions people ask

What is a passing score on the TSIA2?

Each subject has a college-ready benchmark. Mathematics: a CRC score of 950 to 990, or a Diagnostic level of 6. ELAR: a CRC score of 945 to 990 and an essay score of 5 or higher, or a Diagnostic level of 5 or 6 and an essay score of 5 or higher.

What does the TSIA2 score range mean?

College Readiness Classification (CRC) scores run from 910 to 990 in each subject. The essay is scored from 1 to 8, and Diagnostic levels run from 2 to 6.

I scored 950 in ELAR but 4 on the essay. Am I college ready?

Not yet in ELAR. A CRC score of 945 or higher meets one half of the benchmark, and the essay needs a 5 or higher. After your first ELAR sitting you need to retake only the part you did not pass.

How long do TSIA2 scores last?

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board says TSIA and TSIA2 results can be used for up to five years from the date of testing.
