HESI A2

HESI A2 scores, explained

Your results show how you did in each section you took. Each nursing program sets the minimum it needs, often for each section as well as overall.

Passing scoreNone: each program sets its own
Section minimumsMany programs set one for each required section
ExampleOne community college asks for 75% in A&P, Vocabulary, Reading and Math for its ADN program

What programs look at

  • The sections they require, and a minimum for each.
  • Sometimes an overall or composite score.
  • How many attempts they accept and how recent the scores must be.

What a practice exam can tell you

A practice exam shows how many questions you got right in each section, so you can see which section is below your program's bar. It cannot produce an official HESI score.
